Biographical Statement

Mélissa Touré is an undergraduate student from France. She is in her third-year of a five year program in École de Biologie Industrielle (EBI), training to become an engineer in biotechnology. She is particularly interested in innovative research that can help in the medical field. Working internationally is important to her for discovering new cultures, new projects and meet new people.

Mélissa Touré will work this summer with Jeffrey Vieregg on polyelectrolyte complexation of oligonucleotides. This study is based on interactions among charged oligonucleotides and peptides. We are interesting in these because such a complex can be use to be a deliver vehicle for therapeutic RNA for example.
